Senior Pastor

Chris Gearhart became the pastor at Lakeview Presbyterian Church in October, 2000.  His education includes a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Delaware, an M.Div. from Columbia International University, a Th.M. from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), and coursework toward a Ph.D. in New Testament.  He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 1993 and before coming to the Chicago area served as assistant Pastor in a PCA church in Fairhope, AL.  He has keen interests in teaching, missions, discipleship, writing, and loves people.  Chris and his wife, Claudette, have two children, Christopher and Courtney.

Associate Pastor of Congregational Life

Rick Sutton joined Lakeview in January, 2007. Rick’s educational background includes a B.A. in Philosophy from Elon University (North Carolina) and an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He was ordained by the Chicago Metro Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and serves on the Presbytery's Shepherding Committee.  His wife Ellen serves on the WIC Council (Women in the Church) and leads a women’s Bible study in the church. They have two grown children, Jennifer and Michael.
